The Alberta Bicycle Association has released guidlines for how clubs can accept and submit electronic waiver information.  These guidlines used in combination with a Zone4 online membership registration can save a great deal of time and energy for clubs and the elimination of all paper waivers that have been filled out and submitted in the past. 

You can now assemble the key components of the ABA waiver electronically using a series of form elements in Zone4's Club Registration system.  The waiver is divided into three part (Waiver, Declaration, and Parental Consent) and each part is comprised on three basic form element types (Header, Text Block, and Checkbox.)  Zone4 has placed the exact wording and element layout into a shared registration that you can preview here:  http://www.zone4.ca/register.asp?id=1662  (Proceed to the Individual level.)  These three section, along with their configured mandatory checkbox elements neatly cover ABA's waiver requirements. 

In order to get these waivers into your own registrations, the easiest way is to use the Copy Existing Elements function from the bottom of your "Choose Element Type" drop down list.  As pictured below, this brings up a list of all registrations that you can copy elements from.  In this case, scroll down to the "Shared Registration from Other Clubs" area and look for the registration called "Sample Alberta Bicycle Association Waivers".  Choose the Individual level link, and then proceed to choose each element one at a time and add it to your current registration.

The final thing to note is that in terms of waiver reporting, all ABA requires is that you include the three checkbox element columns in your report so that the ABA can see that the participant checked off all the required waivers. 

That's all that's needed to save countless trees/waiver paper and countelss hours of manual paper tracking, storing, and mailing off all the ABA.  Enjoy.
