WELCOME TO THE 4th ANNUAL TEARS & GEARS!

Situated in the heart of small town Fernie, BC , T&G is designed to test the abilities, determination and strength of participants, while also celebrating the amazing terrain and trails available in Fernie. Not to mention adding to the already impressive array of biking and running events held in Fernie August through October.

After the success and popularity of the new Enduro distance last year, this year the Classic and Enduro distances are continuing. However, this year you can either compete as a soloist (running & biking) OR you need a teammate to complete either distance as a team !

TREKSeries

As many of you know, Fernie Tears & Gears is part of the ever growing and popular Trail Races of the East Kootenays (TREK) Series . In 2012, 5 well established trail races in throughout the East Kootenays joined together to form this Trail Running Series, with racers gaining points at each race to count towards the series. In 2013, a 6th race is joining, with racers having to complete 5 out of 6 races to get a TREKSeries Belt Buckle . A full list of participating races, dates and links to individual race entries can be found at www.trekseries.com . Both our Enduro & Classic Trail Run counts towards the series.

2013 RACE OPTIONS

Tears & Gears Classic: 10.7km run & 13.5km bike . Can be entered as a Soloist or as a Team. The runner counts towards TREKS points.

Tears & Gears Enduro: 21km run & 25km bike . Can be entered as a Soloist or as a Team. The runner counts towards TREKS points.

Whether in it to win it, bagging yourself a TREKSeries Belt Buckle, or out for a fun day with the fam, we can assure a fantastic event for all. We look forwards to seeing you there!

Registration is capped at 200 competitors , so register early to reserve your spot! Team fees are marked per person , so please ensure both team members enter !

Registration fee includes race entry , post-race dinner and technical race shirt *

As of 2012, all races in Fernie have a $5 fee per/person which directly goes to The Fernie Trails Alliance in order to maintain Fernie's valuable and ever-growing trail system. Please indicate in the below the number of racers you are entering:
