There have been a few bugs found in Version 3.0 This update addresses the following
issues. Each issue is marked as either Critical, Serious, Annoyance, or Obscure.
- Critical- In Category Info - Enter Category Data, for Sprints, there was a critical
and fatal error that shuts down Zone4. There is no workaround for this issue and
in version 3.0, this basically makes the Sprint Module unusable in the initial
release.
- Serious - There was a bug in the new Electronic Timing Interface where if you have
only activated a singe channel assignment (with no backup channels activated) then
when you manually insert a time, it inserts a time correctly but causes an error
with each new pulse. You then had to close and reopen the interface for it to resume
taking time pulses correctly. The easier workaround in 3.0 was to just activate
one of the backup channels even if no times where coming in on it. This fixed the
issue.
- Serious - There appears to be a problem with the new Racer Info - Racer Entry grids
on Windows 98 and Windows 95. When trying to group racers by dragging the column
header into the grouping section, the grids go haywire and the program produces a
fatal error. No solution has been found yet to make this feature work on Windows
98/95 so the grouping feature has been disabled on those operating systems.
- Annoyance - In Category Info - Add Remove Categories, when you add a new category
that is not in the Master List, it produces an error that you can Ignore. Clicking
Ignore continues on and everything is fine.
